An Evening of Celebration and Appreciation
Last Wednesday, December 4th, New Horizons of SWFL’s Board of Directors hosted a memorable evening at Azure in Bonita Bay for the annual Supporters of Impact Holiday Party. The festive event, filled with beautiful Christmas decorations, was a heartfelt celebration of the generosity of our supporters who make it possible for us to continue empowering under-resourced youth in our community.
Guests were warmly welcomed by our students and staff, who served as greeters at the entrance, making everyone feel at home from the moment they arrived. The evening began with a warm welcome from Board Director Jim Yost, who introduced the night’s program and set the stage for a truly special evening. Following Jim’s introduction, our senior student Keyli Garcia led the opening prayer, offering a moment of reflection to begin the celebration.
Our CEO, Dr. Linda, then introduce the senior students, highlighting their dedication and growth throughout their time in the program. The students, full of pride, introduced themselves to the guests, sharing how long they’ve been involved with New Horizons and what the program has meant to them.
Ashley Guerrero, one of our inspiring seniors, followed with an emotional and impactful speech, where she shared her personal journey and the profound impact the program has had on her life.
The evening culminated in Dr. Linda’s speech, where she shared exciting news about recent grants the organization has received and provided updates on the growth and success of our programs. She also took a moment to express heartfelt appreciation for the generosity of our supporters, whose continued commitment is vital to the future of New Horizons of SWFL.
As the evening unfolded, the room filled with the sounds of Christmas music, and guests enjoyed delicious food while mingling and making new connections. It was a night of reflection, joy, and appreciation—an opportunity for everyone to catch up, share memories, and look forward to the future.
The Supporters of Impact Holiday Party was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the incredible impact our supporters have in shaping the futures of students at New Horizons of SWFL. We are grateful for each and every one of you and look forward to continuing this journey together in the new year.
